Valerie Kampe

Riding is far more than a profession for me – it is my passion and my life's path. Horses have accompanied me since childhood, and from this deep connection a professional career in competitive and training sports has emerged.

I was able to deepen my training at the highest level with Ingrid Klimke. There I expanded my knowledge in systematic and versatile horse training and gained valuable experience in daily training as well as in competition sports. I completed my rider apprenticeship with a grade of 1.3 (excellent) as the best in my class.

Today I offer professional horse training and riding services in Kassel – with great heart, expertise, and a clear eye for the individual development of each horse.

My Sporting Career

Even before my time with Ingrid Klimke, I was successfully competing in show jumping up to Class S**. These early successes laid my sporting foundation and shaped my aspiration to train horses consistently yet horse-friendly.

The time with Ingrid Klimke was formative and guiding for me. As a multiple Olympic champion, World and European champion, she stands for versatility at the highest level, for systematic training, and for a partnership-based approach with the horse. In her training stable, I was able to learn daily from her experience, her discipline, and her fine riding feel.

Particularly the combination of dressage work, jumping gymnastics, and versatile training has sharpened my view of training lastingly. The clear structure, the consistent work on the basics, and the understanding of promoting each horse individually characterize my own training style to this day.

Through this intensive time and Ingrid's fantastic instruction, as well as world-class horses like Rock my Heart EA or Equitanas Firlefranz, I was also able to establish myself successfully in dressage: I am victorious in Class S** and placed in S*** tests.

My Philosophy

In my daily work, the well-being of the horse always comes first. I orient myself according to the principles of classical riding doctrine and place great value on horse-friendly, systematic, and sustainable training.

Every horse is unique – with its own personality, its own strengths, and individual needs. Therefore, I always design the training adapted to the age, training level, and character of the respective horse.

I live by the principle that every horse gets a new chance every day. Regardless of how the previous day went, I begin each session with openness, patience, and respect. Trust, motivation, and fine communication are for me the basis of a successful partnership between horse and rider.
